Special Needs Ministry

Special Needs Ministry exists to show children with special needs, and their parents and siblings, know they are valued and that they belong, at Harvest Hills Alliance Church, and to help them become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

We have a dream...

  • That every child, regardless of ability of disability, will be welcomed and will find a place to belong, at Harvest Hills Alliance Church.
  • That parents of children with special needs will be ministered to and freed to minister, at Harvest Hills Alliance Church.
  • That siblings of children with special needs will receive understanding and encouragement at Harvest Hills Alliance Church.

Those people in the Church who seem to be less important are actually indispensable. Those who seem to be less honorable, we treat with special honor. God has combined the people in His Church and given greater honor to those who dont receive it elsewhere, so there will be unity among His people, and so everyone will have equal concern for each other (1 Corinthians 12:22-25, adapted).

We Believe . . .

  • Every child and every adult is created by God in His image and is loved by Him.
  • Every child and every adult has the need and ability to know, love and serve God.
  • Every child and every adult is an essential part of the body of Christ.

What We Do ...

  • Host five Saturday-afternoon events for families who include a child with special needs
  • Provide trained one-on-one buddies and other supports for children with special needs, so they can be fully integrated into Sunday School and other church programs
  • Parents can escape from the hairness of life in the peaceful "Parents Escape" room.

Family event of the year:

  • We currently do not have a Special Needs Program.
